Our client located in Ottawa has an urgent requirement for two Senior SMS Packager Specialists for a 5 month contract. The candidates
will work as subject matter experts, within the SMS 2003 implementation team, in order to ensure desktop software products are
properly packaged to comply with the new SMS2003 environment and deployment methodology.
Mandatory Experience:
10+ years IT experience with 2 to 4 years recent packaging expertise with all of the following:
Deliverables:
1. Document changes to CLIENT’s software packaging, bundling process for desktop applications
2. Design and test SMS packages to work with the new SMS2003 infrastructure and environment
3. If required, cross train other resource(s) added to the packaging effort to ensure Schedule is met.
4. Involved in 3rd tier support, providing problem analysis and resolution as required.
5. Contractor will submit all applicable engineering, test and support documentation as part of deliverables.
6. Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance

Ottawa - SQL SERVER DBA needed.
Min 5 years exp in a DBA role.
3 month contract
Candidate fell thru, so we need someone asap! Open rate due to tight time frame....
Environment:
Our Client has implemented custom-built applications on Oracle and Microsoft RDBMS on NT and HPUX server platforms. Application and database development is an ongoing activity in Information Management.
The common platforms for Application development are Visual Basic 6.0, NT4, SQL-Server 7, Oracle 8 and 9, Visual Basic 6.0, Visual C++, Visual Interdev, MapX, ActiveX, Active Server Pages, Javascript, etc. SQL-Server 7 and 2000, Access 98 and Oracle 8 and 9 are the dominant RDBMS platforms in use at CLIENT.
Several applications are processing massive volumes of data and require constant monitoring and tuning to perform as per the required SLA specifications.
The DBA will be assigned to new development, maintenance and testing activities as defined by the Manager Applications and Technology Development.
DELIVERABLES
The Consultant will be required to deliver Database Administration Services in support of the Application and Technology Development team.
Specific services to be delivered include:
· Developing and implementing Data and Change Management procedures.
· Optimizing SQL-Server 2000 databases.
· Designing and configuring Production and Development SQL-Server 2000 databases.
· Troubleshooting and repairing databases and associated data extraction and loading scripts.
· Developing and updating appropriate database documentation and control processes.
· Providing database expertise and consultation as required to successfully deliver and operate the database environments in CLIENT.
