Project Description:
The TTC has awarded a contract to a third party vendor to implement new gate control, revenue collection and communication equipment at the TTC's commuter parking lots. In addition, Quality Assurance requires a Test Analyst who will participate in all operating and maintenance projects across all departments of IT Services
Duties:
The QA Analyst is responsible for developing and executing the QA plan following the TTC Quality Assurance Plan Responsibility Matrix. The incumbent will also be responsible for analysing requirements to ensure they are concise and testable. Key deliverables include the QA Strategy for the Commuter Parking project, the Test Plan, Test Cases, planning and managing the activities required to test the new solution including issue tracking and resolution. For the Operating projects, this includes working with the Information Security Office to test Vulnerabilities as they are identified, working with Production Control for enhancements of their Disaster Recovery initiatives, involvement with Server Technology to verify their configured servers, and Desktop Services for compatibility testing when introducing new hardware or software to IT Infrastructure
Skills:
Minimum of five years QA/Testing experience in a client server environment.
Knowledge of testing methodologies.
Experience in writing test documentation.
Knowledge and experience in tracking problems and defects.
Solid experience in executing testing and analyzing the results.
Expert in quality assurance, test strategy, and test planning.
Experience using Automated Test tools preferably Compuware QA Center Test tools
Working knowledge of testing IT Security Vulnerabilities
Solid experience in IT Security planning
Strong knowledge of Applications development and testing
Experience with Network systems deployment
Strong knowledge of Revenue reporting and revenue data management systems
Working knowledge with Windows NT, Windows XP and MS Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
University/Community College degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
